▼ 🧰 What Does This Do?
Pushes tarp walls outward from the inside to increase headroom, improve airflow, and reduce sag and flapping. Delivers a roomier, quieter shelter with better wind and rain performance.
▼ 🔧 How Is This Typically Used?
Install the internal poles beneath your tarp and tension them using the pre-cut shock cord system attached to your ridgeline ends. Adjust once, then switch easily between storm and porch modes without re-staking.
▼ ✅ Compatibility
Optimized for hammock tarps up to 10 ft wide. Wider tarps may reduce effectiveness due to pole angle and shock cord reach.
▼ 📐 Sizing, Options & Materials
Includes two 129" internal tarp poles · Pre-cut shock cord tension system · Internal mounting design · Total weight ~1 lb · Reduces external lines and tripping hazards · Packs compact with most tarp systems.
Maximize Interior Space—Without External Poles
Upgrade your shelter with the WideArc Internal Tarp Pole Mod Kit, a compact, lightweight system designed to dramatically increase usable space under your tarp—without the hassle of external pole mods.
Each 129-inch internal pole spans a wide arc across your tarp, pushing the walls outward from the inside where space actually matters. The result is more headroom, better airflow, and a cleaner campsite with fewer lines to manage.
Built for Real-World Camping
Unlike external pole mods that rely on additional pull-outs and staking, the WideArc makes it easy to adapt your setup as conditions change. Lock things down in storm mode, then quickly open everything up into porch mode when the weather clears—without tearing down your shelter.
The internal design also improves wind performance by reducing fabric sag and minimizing flapping, helping your tarp stay quieter and more stable in rough conditions.

TEMPERATURE
High and low temperatures can influence rope performance in a variety
of ways. Ambient temperature conditions should be well understood
and within the limits outlined in Table 2. Generally speaking, extremely
cold temperatures commonly will not have a negative impact on rope
performance. However, moisture and subsequent freezing will impact a
rope’s handling and flexibility, but with no known negative long-term impact
on rope life. High temperatures can reduce a rope’s strength and fatigue
resistance. If temperatures exceed the limits shown in Table 2, special care
should be taken to ensure the product is fit-for-purpose.
